Hello! My name is William McLaughlin and I am 32 years old. I was born and raised in Rhode Island but I am happy to say that I am now a Parrish resident! I'm so excited for an amazing next school year at Harvey Elementary. The following is a brief background about myself and my journey towards becoming a teacher. During my free time, my favorite activities are either golfing or being on the water fishing. I'm happy to say I won't be missing any of the New England winters with the exception of being on a mountain skiing. Before entering a career in education, I lived for a short period in Brevard county and worked in Law Enforcement for the Palm Bay Police Department. I walked away from the career to pursue education because I found that their is nothing more rewarding than making a positive difference in a child's life. You can take comfort in knowing I am fully dedicated to ensuring that each student in my 5th-grade class has an exceptional and memorable final year at Harvey Elementary. I am looking forward to meeting my new students and their families and I will make communication throughout this next school year both easy and transparent. I believe that being on a team with my student's parents is so important for ensuring success inside out outside the classroom. I can't wait to meet everyone this coming August and hope that everyone is having a fantastic summer!
